From cinema to streaming. 'Transformers' newest chapter lands on SkyShowtime
As early as mid-June, audiences could watch it on cinema screens, and now, the latest installment of the hit series "Transformers" will be available on the SkyShowtime platform.
The popular action movie series, inspired by figurines of the same name from Hasbro, began in 2007 with Michael Bay's film starring Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox. By 2023, fans had already seen the seventh installment of the saga, "Rise of the Beasts," soon to be added to the resources of one of the streaming platforms.
Understanding "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts"
The newest chapter of this thrilling series takes viewers back to the '90s and on a journey around the globe. This time, the Autobots defending Earth receive support from a brand-new faction of Transformers - the Maximals.
According to Filmweb's synopsis, the production follows the story of former U.S. Army grunt Noah Diaz (played by Anthony Ramos), who strives to support his family in his bustling Brooklyn neighborhood. As a result of certain events, Noah finds himself behind the wheel of the wise Autobot, Mirage (voiced by Pete Davidson), who reveals three hidden Autobots.
Simultaneously, in the Ellis Island Museum's archaeological exhibit, a 25-year-old researcher, Elena Wallace (Dominique Fishback), unknowingly activates a hidden transmitter inside an ancient statuette. Answering its call, Noah and the Autobots arrive just as the malevolent Terrorcon, Scourge (voiced by Peter Dinklage), and his robots initiate their assault. When Scourge escapes with an enigmatic artifact capable of summoning Unicron, an entity of unimaginable size and destructive capability, Noah and Elena ally with the Autobots to try to avert Earth's destruction.

Meet the Cast and Creators of "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts"
The lead roles are played by Anthony Ramos ("Hamilton"), Dominique Fishback ("Times Square Chronicles" series), Luna Lauren Velez, Dean Scott Vazquez and Tobe Nwigwe. The stellar voice cast includes Peter Cullen, Ron Perlman, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Yeoh, Liza Koshy, John DiMaggio, David Sobolov, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Pete Davidson, Colman Domingo, Cristo Fernández, and Tongayi Chirisa.
The film was directed by Steven Caple Jr. ("Creed 2"), and the screenplay was written by Joby Harold ("King Arthur: Legend of the Sword") in collaboration with Darnell Metayer, Josh Peters, Erich Hoeber, and Jon Hoeber. Among the producers is Michael Bay, who also serves as an executive producer alongside others, including Steven Spielberg.
The film "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" will be available on the SkyShowtime platform from Friday, December 15, 2023. All previous parts are also accessible on the service.
