From Baywatch to battling addiction. Yasmine Bleeth's dramatic transformation revealed

"The Baywatch" series was one of the cult favorites of the 90s. Participation in the American production secured the star status of many actors, including Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff. However, some cast members eventually "fell off the radar."

Yasmine Bleeth, known for portraying Caroline Holden in the series, began her on-screen journey when she was just ten months old, appearing in a television commercial. At 12, she landed her first serious role in the movie "Hey Babe!" but her breakout fame resulted from her involvement with the iconic lifeguard series.

Yasmine Bleeth's promising Hollywood career was derailed

After four seasons on "Baywatch," she left to join the crime series "Nash Bridges." A flourishing Hollywood career seemed imminent until Bleeth faced personal struggles. She became addicted to drugs and, in 2000, sought help in a rehabilitation center. This is where she met her future husband, Paul Cerrito.

Her initial attempt to combat her addiction was unsuccessful. Less than a year later, she was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and given a suspended sentence, along with 100 hours of community service. She openly detailed her ongoing struggles with addiction in a 2003 "Glamour" column.

Her promising career succumbed to addiction

"Making conscious efforts to stay away from drugs is now an integral part of my life. That's because cocaine is more mentally addictive than physical. There are so many situations that trigger my craving for it," she confessed.

Having regained composure, Bleeth appeared in "Baywatch - Hawaii Wedding." She then disappeared from the spotlight for a long period. In 2021, she returned to the screen in the independent comedy "Whack the Don." According to her own admission, drug use led to her contracting gangrene and damaging her nose which significantly affected her appearance.

"By the end of 1999, I no longer recognized myself. I'd lost my slender figure. I looked like an alien, with my eyes bulging out of my face," she described in her column.

At 55 years old, Yasmine Bleeth has indeed transformed. But the question is, how much?
