From 660 lbs to 185: Christina’s remarkable transformation

Christina Phillips is one of the participants of the show "My 600-lb Life." At the age of 22, she weighed over 660 pounds. Her morbid obesity led to severe health problems that confined her to her home. Christina focused on herself, and today she looks completely different.

Christina Phillips applied to the show "My 600-lb Life" when she weighed over 660 pounds. She had difficulty moving, and at one point, due to her obesity and health problems, she didn't leave her room at all.

At that time, 22-year-old Christina realized that she couldn’t continue living like this because her condition was life-threatening. By deciding to undergo bariatric surgery and working on herself, she achieved a tremendous transformation.

Losing excess weight with a high initial weight is not a simple task. In Christina's case, bariatric surgery was necessary, and qualifying for it is not easy. The participant of the show learned this during a consultation with Dr. Younan Nowzaradan. She had to stick to a diet and exercise regularly so that after many months of intensive work, she could undergo the procedure. After the surgery, Christina weighed over 440 pounds less. Initially, the transformation results were not sufficient for her.

Following the doctor's recommendations and therapy helped Christina maintain the right weight. As she emphasized, she does all this for her health. Looking at the photos she posts on social media today, it's hard to believe it’s the same person. Christina weighs 185 pounds, has two children, and lives normally.

“It’s been over 9 years and two babies since my surgery and I’ve done a good job at maintaining my weight,” wrote Christina in one of her Instagram posts.
