Fried dumplings get a flavour boost: Discover the secret spice that enhances your favorite treat

Dumplings can be served in three ways — boiled, fried, or baked. Many of us concur that the fried ones are the best. Once fried, the dough turns crispy and golden, making them irresistible. If you're a fan of fried dumplings, consider adding a certain spice. You've surely never tasted anything as good before.

Dumplings: our national pride

Dumplings enjoy global fame, and foreign tourists agree that the best dumplings are found in Poland. In Italy, they serve ravioli. These are small dumplings, filled with ricotta cheese, meat, or vegetables.

In Japan, they prepare gyoza. The dough resembles that of Polish dumplings, but the filling contains ingredients typical of Asian cuisine, such as ginger, Chinese cabbage, and chives. Unlike dumplings, they are fried in hot oil before being served.

Polish dumplings are prepared with a dough consisting of flour and water. The dough is rolled out into a thin layer and small circles are cut from it, which are then stuffed with a filling such as cabbage and mushrooms, spinach, or sweet cheese. After sealing, they are dropped into boiling water and cooked until tender.

Enhance the flavor during frying: make your dumplings even tastier

Boiled dumplings are usually garnished with onions, sour cream, or melted butter. After boiling, they can be fried. There's nothing better than crispy, golden-brown dumplings. If you love fried dumplings, try adding a pinch of chicken seasoning. It consists of dried onion, mustard, ground coriander, garlic, and ginger. These spices will give the dumplings an enhanced flavor and aroma. There's no need for additional gravy. Just melt some butter, add a dash of seasoning to the pan, and then add the dumplings. After two minutes, flip them over. Dumplings prepared in this manner will taste even better than before.
