Toilet paper as a freshener

If you want your wardrobe to smell nice, there's no need to purchase expensive fragrances. A simple yet effective method is using a roll of scented toilet paper. This product has moisture-absorbing properties, which often addresses the root cause of bad smells. Placing the paper among your clothes will help absorb unpleasant odors, leaving behind a pleasant scent. Just replace the roll every two to three weeks, and the issue should be resolved for good.

Ways to make your own natural freshener

To create your own scent, take a tea bag, preferably a fruit or lavender variety, and add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to it. This simple gadget can quickly absorb unpleasant odors from the wardrobe and also works well in shoes.

Another method is using dried citrus fruits. Their strong, fresh scent will help neutralize odors. All you need are dried slices of lemons and oranges, which you can hang on a hanger or place at the bottom of the closet. For an enhanced effect, you can add cloves and sprinkle them with cinnamon.

Speaking of essential oils, there's another way to use them. Pour a few tablespoons of baking soda into a small jar, add about 20 drops of your favorite essential oil, and mix well. Cover the jar with a lid that has holes in it. It's beneficial to shake the jar once a day to intensify the scent. You can add more oil every few days as the freshener begins to lose its fragrance.
