When I think of French-style green beans, my stomach immediately starts growling. I often serve them with roasted or boiled potatoes and a fried egg. This combination is the essence of a perfect summer dinner.
Green beans and health
Green beans are a light snack and a delicious addition to any meal. They are a rich source of dietary fiber, which helps regulate the digestive system. Additionally, they are low in calories, making them ideal for a balanced diet. Green beans have a low glycemic index, which is beneficial for individuals managing diabetes and insulin resistance. They also contain vital vitamins and minerals such as potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, vitamins C, K, A, and B-group vitamins.
