Free Sardinia stay offered for young adventurers under 35
Three free nights' stay on an Italian island? Such an offer tempts tourists from a local foundation in Sardinia, which invites guests worldwide. However, only a few can take advantage of the wealth offered by the local attractions. What matters is... the travelers' age and the program the hosts have for them.

Recently, Sardinia has been coming up with creative ideas to boost tourist traffic.
First, the mayor of San Vero Milis, Luigi Tedeschi, announced that local authorities want to allow nudism enthusiasts to organize weddings on their beloved Is Benas beach. Now, a foundation on the island offers tourists three free nights' stay.
But two conditions must be met to spend a few days on the Italian island for free. One is a pre-determined sightseeing route, for which the originators recommend touring the Santa Barbara mining trail located southwest of Sardinia.
The entire trail is about 311 miles long and leads into the forest. Along the way, there is no shortage of scenic attractions, such as archaeological sites, vineyards, and the coastal shoreline.
On the route, you can visit the San Giovanni Domusnovas cave, the Piscinas dunes, and the limestone cliff Pan di Zucchero. The trail is divided into 30 segments of about 10 miles each, and those wanting to take advantage of the accessible accommodations must dedicate three days to it.
But that's not the only condition. The organizers will also be checking age. To sleep for free for three days in charming Sardinia, you must be under 35 years old.
Those who wish to take advantage of the offer must also purchase a tourist pass from the Cammino Minerario di Santa Barbara Foundation (CMSB), which is organizing the event. The pass costs only $5.
