The event occurred on October 28, when Preston Lord was found beaten up on the road in Queen Creek. Although he was immediately taken to the hospital, he passed away there two days later.

As local police informed, quoted by NBC News, the indicted are two 17-year-old teenagers, 18-year-old William Owen Hines and 20-year-old Dominic Turner. They all are going to be charged like adults and face first-degree murder or second-degree murder and kidnapping. The last one is additionally charged with robbery.

We extend heartfelt gratitude to the community members who stepped up to provide information to secure these arrests. [...] But for law enforcement’s collective efforts and community members’ invaluable cooperation, these arrests would not have happened. Each arrest represents a step towards accountability and justice for our son Preston," say boy's parents in a statement, published by their lawyer.
