In the new movie, Florence Pugh will squeeze all the tears out of the audience. For the role of a woman with cancer, she decided to shave her head. However, as it turns out, the actress's decision was not driven solely by the acting challenge.

Florence Pugh is a true star of the young generation in Hollywood. Since the premiere of the horror film "Midsommar. In Broad Daylight," she has had a fantastic streak. She appeared in the Oscar-nominated "Little Women," then joined the Marvel team, portraying the assassin Yelena. She made headlines for her role alongside Harry Styles in "Don't Worry Darling," not to mention her role as the mistress in "Oppenheimer" or the latest part of "Dune." American viewers eagerly await the new release—"A Good Person," where she and Andrew Garfield deliver a touching story.

Although Pugh could have used the help of makeup artists on the set of "A Good Person," she decided to shave her head to reflect her character's struggle with cancer. As the film's director, John Crowley, revealed in an interview with "People," he was preparing alternative solutions to show the disease's impact on Pugh's character even before shooting began. As soon as the star arrived on set, she announced that she would shave her head.

The actress revealed that it wasn't entirely about the acting challenge. In an interview with "Vogue," she admitted she was going through a difficult time. "My body went into a bit of trauma from it," she commented.

For many, such changes may symbolize an attempt to regain control over their image, but the actress firmly dismissed these suggestions, calling them "nonsense." Pugh explained that her decision to shave her head was part of several aesthetic and life changes she was going through.

In the same interview, Florence disclosed that for the first time in her career, she asked for a break as she felt exhausted by the constant pace of work.

"I'm an absolute work maniac, [but] I can see I'm exhausted. "I suddenly woke up last year and I was like, 'I hate how much of my life I've missed," she confessed.

Florence, now dating "Peaky Blinders" star Finn Cole, also revealed that she is already considering starting a family. She noted that one cannot live solely and exclusively for one's career. Audiences may not notice that Pugh takes a break between projects. Several more productions featuring the star are already being edited. In January 2025, American viewers will see the aforementioned "A Good Person." The latest box office hit featuring Pugh, "Dune: Part Two," grossed over 711 million dollars worldwide.
