The young actress recently starred in the movie "Don't Worry Darling", and currently spends most of her time on the set of the second part of "Dune". Despite her busy schedule, she graces every major industry event, usually making a flawless presentation.

However, her fashion choice for the BAFTA afterparty, curated by the Valentino fashion house, missed the mark. Pugh wore a pink-silver minidress embellished with sequins and crystals. The addition of a shiny purse, silver jewelry, and shiny platform heels made the overall look overwhelming and overly ornate.

Angela Bassett's outfit fell flat due to the sleeves

Angela Bassett is also at the peak of her career. She recently won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the movie "Black Panther: Wakanda in my Heart" and dazzled everyone with a silver dress at the awards ceremony. Nonetheless, when she appeared at the BAFTA awards, her outfit elicited mixed reactions.

The actress wore a long, lilac dress with a halter neck and voluminous sleeves that seemed overwhelming and disrupted the flow of the outfit. Exchanging the platform satin shoes for dark stilettos or sandals would have simplified the look. However, we applaud her original rose-shaped purse.

Unexpected styles on the red carpet

This week also saw some controversial fashion choices. Topping this category is Kahyun Kim, who wore a daring ensemble to the premiere of the movie "Cocaine Bear". The actress donned what looked like a dress made of a shiny net, only providing coverage for the lower part of her body. The upper half was covered by pasties, leaving little to the imagination. To further shake things up, Kim paired this with red, latex boots that reached above her knees. It begs the question - how far can one go with fashion extravagance?
