First look at 'Dune: The Sisterhood': HBO Max's epic prequel series

The film has grossed over $710 million worldwide, becoming the year's most successful movie. This success has reassured Warner Bros., confirming audience interest in expanding the "Dune" universe. Notably, Denis Villeneuve is set to direct the upcoming installment of "Dune."

Moreover, fans eagerly await a series that is long in the making. "Dune: The Sisterhood," announced by HBO Max in 2019, will finally debut in the fall of 2024. Set 10,000 years before "Dune," the series will chart the journey of sisters Valya and Tula Harkonnen. These women will confront formidable adversaries to secure humanity's future and establish the Bene Gesserit, a pivotal institution in the "Dune" saga.
