Fires rage in Los Angeles: Residents urged to stay vigilant
The threat is not over yet. Police officers and firefighters are preparing for more difficult hours in areas of Los Angeles affected by fires. Thousands of homes have burned down, and more may still be at risk. The worst may be yet to come in the next few hours.
The Mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, announced on social media that police and fire teams continue to battle the blaze. She emphasized that the officers are committed to protecting the residents.
However, the Mayor warned that the windstorm is likely to intensify throughout the morning. "Therefore, residents should follow local warnings, remain vigilant, and prioritize their safety," she advised.

She reminded residents that strict parking restrictions are in place. In areas marked in red on the map, parking is still prohibited.
The Pacific Palisades fire, in a neighborhood known for its celebrity residents, erupted on Tuesday evening. Alerts suggesting a major fire could occur had already been issued the previous day.
The disaster was caused by severe drought and strong winds. People tried to escape the inferno in their cars, but many had to abandon their vehicles at the last moment and flee on foot.
Nearly 3,000 acres have already burned, and the city has declared a state of emergency. The firefighting efforts are being hindered by winds as strong as a tornado.
Currently, the services are focusing on saving human lives. There is no chance of stopping the fire in the coming hours.
