A fire broke out in the assembly hall of the KAMAZ plant in Tatarstan, Russia. Known as a major equipment supplier for the Russian army, this incident marks another significant event in that region of Russia.

The fire news was shared on Telegram and the X platform, with photos and videos depicting columns of black smoke billowing over the KAMAZ plant in Naberezhnye Chelny, Tatarstan.

A Telegram channel, Crimean Wind Post, highlighted that the company is a leading provider of automotive equipment to the Russian army.

KAMAZ manufactures diesel trucks and engines. The company has been placed on sanction lists by the United States, the European Union, Canada, and the United Kingdom following the Russian military's aggression towards Ukraine in 2022.

Recently, Ukrainian forces targeted other locations in Tatarstan. These included a factory in Yelabuga manufacturing Iranian Shahed drones, known in Russia as Geran-2, and a refinery in Nizhnekamsk.
