Failed assassination attempt on Trump
Former US President Donald Trump was shot in the ear during an election rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday. Two people were killed, including the attacker, and two others were seriously injured.
The assassination attempt on the former president occurred a few minutes after the speech began in Butler, about 30 miles from Pittsburgh. Shortly after two gunshots were heard, the former president fell to the ground, clutching his ear, and was then covered by Secret Service agents protecting him.
With a bloodied face and ear, Trump stood up under his own power, waving his fist at the crowd, to which the crowd responded by chanting "USA!". Moments after Trump's fall, a series of gunshots were heard from the authorities. Trump's spokesman Steven Cheung reported that the former president was unharmed.
