Explosions Rock Middle East: Israel, Syria, and Iran Under Fire
An attack in Israel occurred overnight. Additionally, explosions were also heard in Iraq and in Syria, targeting facilities associated with Bashar Al-Assad's regime army.
In Iran, early morning explosions were reported. It was noted that air defenses were activated to counter multiple drones, primarily in the Isfahan region, where military and nuclear facilities are situated. The army reported no damage.
Concurrently, reports of explosions in other countries emerged. In Syria, the southern provinces experienced explosions.
According to Suwayda24, in the As-Suwayda governorate, the attacks targeted Syrian army radars. Locals reported three explosions, followed by the sighting of a squadron of fighters. The incident resulted in "material losses" for the military.
Significant explosions were reported near the Al-Thaala military airport, though it was unconfirmed whether this site was directly targeted.
An additional attack was reported in the neighboring province of Daraa, targeting a military facility near the city of Izra.
The extent of the damages Syria incurred from this attack remains unclear. Israel has not acknowledged any involvement in the shelling.
Explosions in Iraq
Further explosions were heard over the Babylon province in Iraq, including the Baghdad area. In Irbil and Mosul, fighter jets were reportedly passing by.
A correspondent from the Lebanese television channel Al-Majadin (associated with Iran) noted that drones were spotted over Baghdad and Kirkuk during the night.
The nature and cause of these incidents remain uncertain at this time.
