Explosions and fire rock Rostov-on-Don fuel warehouse

"Something is burning, explosions can be heard," alert the residents of Rostov-on-Don in Russia. According to "Privet-Rostov," a fuel warehouse within the grain terminal premises is ablaze. The Ministry for Emergency Situations has confirmed this report.

The initial fire reports were from Rostov residents who were startled by a series of explosions. "Something's on fire, and you can hear the blasts. What's going on?" they expressed concern on local Telegram channels.

As detailed by 161.ru, "smoke is visible from different parts of the city." "The explosion was captured on video. According to eyewitnesses, there were multiple blasts," we learn.

Shortly after, another explosion was reported.

The fire erupted within the grain terminal's confines. "Preliminary information indicates a fuel warehouse at the grain terminal site is on fire. City center traffic is heavy, and emergency lights are seen everywhere. The cause of the fire remains unknown," reports the channel "Eto Rostov".

The Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations revealed that they were alerted to the emergency at about 12:46 PM Eastern Time. "We were informed of a hangar fire. Emergency services are en route to the scene," the report states.

A few minutes later, the ministry announced that the fire had engulfed approximately 10,764 square feet. "Fortunately, there have been no injuries or fatalities," officials emphasized.
