Recently, Brunetti introduced a unique recipe comprised of seven ingredients, featuring burrata – an Italian cheese blended from mozzarella and cream; it's a crowd favorite especially in Italy's Apulia region. This dish offers two distinct pleasures: it's undeniably delicious and it seems to transport the consumer straight to the vibrant streets of Verona, which is exactly how we felt when we tried Brunetti's recipe!

   Ingredients

  • 8.5 oz of pasta
  • 1 pack of burrata cheese
  • 0.5 cup of 30% cream
  • 0.5 cup of guanciale or pancetta (cured meat)
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions:

  1. Burrata cheese and cream go into a jar blender. Add a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper, before drizzling olive oil. Blend until a smooth, creamy consistency is achieved.
  2. Thinly slice the guanciale, pancetta, or your choice of cured ham or pork belly, and fry on low heat for about 15 minutes. As Brunetti recommends, the meat should turn crispy.
  3. Prepare your favorite pasta (Brunetti uses Italian ditalini) in salted water as per the manufacturer's instructions. Be careful to keep the texture al dente. Then drain the pasta and combine it with the guanciale in the pan. Briefly fry before topping with the sauce from the blender.
  4. Your pasta with burrata is ready. Enjoy your meal or in Italian, buon appetit!
