A few months ago, it was announced that the third season of "Euphoria" will not soon appear on the Max platform. Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and Jacob Elordi, whose careers skyrocketed thanks to the show, are likely not too concerned as they are signing contract after contract. However, the rest of the cast and the viewers are all waiting for the show's return. What is causing the delay?
Some time ago, media outlets reported that the delay was due to the showrunner and writer of the series, Sam Levinson. Max required a complete script of the series from him before giving the green light for filming. Meanwhile, a source from The Hollywood Reporter claims that Levinson blames Zendaya and her desire to focus on her film career rather than the series.
The actress, in turn, indicated that Sam was focused on the unsuccessful "The Idol" instead of writing a coherent script for "Euphoria." It's fair to say that this is not a friendly atmosphere for creating something interesting. TMZ reports that all the disagreements between the pair have supposedly been resolved, and filming for the third season will begin in January next year. It's hard to believe such PR assurances of a renewed friendship, but we buy the filming schedule information. However, we should probably prepare for this, as it is the last season of "Euphoria."
Where are the stars of "Euphoria" acting now?
Sydney Sweeney is having a fantastic time in her career: she starred in the well-received "Reality," the horror film "Immaculate," and is rumored to be cast in a remake of "Barbarella." Zendaya has become a top-tier Hollywood star thanks to "Dune." Jacob Elordi (the series' Nate) gained even more popularity thanks to his role in the raunchy "Saltburn" and as Elvis Presley in "Priscilla." Although "Euphoria" is an excellent series with a large fan base, the actors are likely looking toward their future in Hollywood and not back at the series.
