The Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (DİTİB), which is the principal institution for Muslims in Germany, has stated that the Muslim community is growing increasingly apprehensive.

Starting from the attack by Hamas on Israel on October 7 of the prior year, as reported by Anadolu Agency, the Central Mosque in Cologne started receiving 17 email messages and letters filled with various threats. Recently, the mosque in Dinslaken, in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, also began receiving anonymous threats. These are causing distress among the worshippers.

The escalating number of threats is igniting unease within the Muslim community in Germany. Such malevolent messages induce fear and provoke questions about the potential impact of international conflicts on peaceful coexistence in the country. In its search for solutions, the Muslim community and the authorities tasked with ensuring security are facing challenges, notes BNN Breaking.

BNN Breaking further notes that how the federal government plans to address this issue remains uncertain. The report reads, "Amidst these menacing incidents, the Muslim community in Germany continues to hope for an environment devoid of hate, where they can freely and fearlessly practice their faith.".
