During a press conference with Slovakia's Prime Minister Robert Fico, who arrived in Ankara, Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized the importance of friendship with Donald Trump. Erdogan noted that these relations are significant for Turkey, just as they were during Trump's first term.

"It is very important for us to continue our friendship with Trump as during his first term," declared the leader of Turkey.

Erdogan announces "appropriate steps" regarding Ukraine

Erdogan also addressed the conflict in Ukraine, emphasizing that ending the war will be one of the topics of his future talks with Trump. The President of Turkey announced that "appropriate steps" will be taken in this matter.

During the visit to Ankara, Slovakia and Turkey signed a declaration of strategic partnership and agreements on defense cooperation. Erdogan also mentioned discussions about Slovakia's demand for natural gas, which can be met by the TurkStream pipeline.
