Emotional Harrison Ford honored with Career Achievement Award at Critics' Choice
The awards season is gaining momentum and will culminate on the 9th of March, with the Academy Awards presented in the early hours of March 10th Eastern Time. Last Sunday, the Critics' Choice Awards saw Hollywood critics honoring light and art with their statuettes. The film "Oppenheimer" and the series "Succession" were among the night's big winners. A unique Career Achievement recognition, encompassing several decades of accomplishment, was given to Harrison Ford.

Ford, a Hollywood legend whose screen career started in the 1960s, has participated in classics such as the "Star Wars" series, "Indiana Jones", "Blade Runner", "The Fugitive" and "Apocalypse Now". When he took the stage on Sunday evening, a prolonged standing ovation from the esteemed audience greeted him.
As Ford spoke, he made no effort to conceal his emotions.
"I'm genuinely pleased to witness how much our industry has evolved. So many talented individuals are afforded opportunities that were nonexistent when I was beginning my career," he expressed. "I'm standing here due to a combination of good fortune and the incredible work of directors, screenwriters, and filmmakers. I am deeply grateful to all of the exceptional actresses and actors I've had the privilege to work with," he added.
Turning to his wife, who was already shedding tears, he declared:
"I want to acknowledge my loving wife, who consistently provided me with support when I needed it. And believe me, I require a great deal of support."
Harrison Ford has been married for 14 years to Calista Flockhart, who is 28 years his junior. Flockhart is familiar to Polish audiences through her role as the titular lawyer in "Ally McBeal". The couple share an adopted 23-year-old son, Liam. This is Ford's fourth marriage. The actor revered as Indiana Jones also has four biological children – three sons and one daughter.
