Noteworthy performances from Kieran Culkin and Sarah Snook in "Succession" won them the awards for Best Actor and Actress in a Drama Series, respectively. In the comedy category, the statuettes for Best Actor and Actress were awarded to Jeremy Allen White ("The Bear") and Quinta Brunson ("Mission: Elementary School").
Emmys dispensed: Jennifer Coolidge presents in a sheer dress
Jennifer Coolidge was honored with the Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series award for her outstanding performance as Tanya McQuoid-Hunt in "The White Lotus". But what caught the audience's eye at the grand gala?
Crafted with lace, transparency, and pleats, Jennifer Coolidge's outfit from the 75th Emmy Awards ceremony was imposing. Adorning a black dress with a pleated bottom and translucent sleeves, she made a statement on the red carpet.
Accentuating details steal the show
The dress's neckline was elegantly enhanced with lace inserts, and a golden floral pattern embroidered on the fabric (including on the semi-transparent sleeves) further grabbed attention. We couldn't help but commend how the dress's cut flattered her figure, mainly owing to the black belt that beautifully accentuated her waist. The outfit was completed with black platform heels to add extra height.
As for her hair and makeup, Jennifer Coolidge tied her blonde hair into a high bun with strands of loose curls and sported rather heavy makeup that perfectly aligned with her glamorous evening gown.
Spotlight on the red carpet: Looking at other stars
The so-called "TV Oscars" also function as a treasured event for fashion enthusiasts. Festive galas provide an excellent opportunity to admire the evening creations of stars. Suki Waterhouse unquestionably dominated the 75th Emmy Awards ceremony, stunning everyone in a daring red dress with cutouts. But did she successfully defy the alleged maternity fashion curse?
Not to be left out, Selena Gomez made her style statement with a design by Oscar de la Renta. Looking ravishing in a transparent creation studded with shiny embellishments, she ensured all eyes were on her.
Joan Collins, the 90-year-old actress, donned an intriguingly shaped sparkling dress that commanded attention. The "cherry on top" were large earrings that flawlessly completed her look.
Opting for a hit color this season, American actress and model Camilla Morrone impressed in a long-train red dress, proving the adage, less is indeed more.
