The sudden death of Lisa Marie Presley sent shockwaves across the globe. Elvis Presley's daughter was seen at the Golden Globes a few days before her demise, celebrating the success of the film "Elvis," with Austin Butler in the lead role. Despite appearing slightly sleepy, no one anticipated that she was on the brink of death.

Lisa Marie Presley underwent an extreme diet

In the weeks leading up to the Golden Globes, Presley reportedly underwent cosmetic surgery and pursued a harmful diet, which reportedly resulted in her losing between 88 and 110 pounds in a mere six weeks. There are speculations that she was also consuming diet pills and had reinitiated her use of opioids, substances she was once addicted to, including morphine, heroin, and codeine.

The TV Station TMZ also aired a documentary titled "TMZ Investigates: Lisa Marie Presley: The Endless Tragedy," providing insight into her final weeks. She was visibly weak and emaciated, clearly lacking strength.

"Her speech was slurred, her eyelids drooped, and she seemed unsteady on her feet... This isn't normal for a woman who would otherwise be healthy for her age. Her conduct at the Golden Globes suggested someone under the influence of substantial substances," explained Dr. Drew Pinsky, an addiction specialist, in the TMZ documentary about Lisa Marie Presley.

She leaves behind three daughters

The official cause of Lisa Marie Presley's death has not been disclosed as of yet. It is known that she had reconciled with her mother, Priscilla, before her death – even before the Golden Globe Awards - with whom she had a severe conflict in recent years.

Presley is survived by her three children - adult daughter Riley Keough and 14-year-old twins, Finley and Harper Lockwood. In a tragic incident, her son Benjamin took his own life on July 12, 2020. Their father, Michael Lockwood, currently has 40% custody of the minor girls. It is speculated that their grandmother and elder sister will also seek custody.
