Elon Musk gives rise to more controversy. Recently, Musk has been a regular headline feature. This attention stems from the much-discussed business acquisition that made him Twitter's owner. His introduction of new policies has ignited quite a debate since taking over the platform.

Musk's Twitter account, which monitors his private plane, has created a stir lately. Jack Sweeney shares information about the flights taken by Musk's plane. One of these aircraft followers used it on December 14 to follow Musk's car from the airport, resulting in a potentially dangerous situation as Musk's son was in the vehicle. This incident caused significant distress for Musk.

A Year in the Skies for Elon Musk

Musk's @ElonJet account caused quite a sensation again. Jack Sweeney provided a summary of the account's operations over the year. Revealing that Musk's plane made 134 flights in 2022. The plane landed in many countries, with the highest frequency of flights being to France, Brazil, Greece, Italy, Norway, Germany, and the UK. One of the last trips was to Qatar for the World Cup final. However, the majority of the flights were carried out within the United States.

The frequent airplane use underscores Musk's earnings. According to Sweeney, in 2022, the plane consumed fuel worth 1.1 billion dollars, with the total operational costs of the 134 journeys close to 2.6 billion dollars.

Interestingly, the shortest flight lasted only 6 minutes. This seeming disregard for the environment has raised eyebrows. Such short flights are generally perceived as the whims of the wealthy. Climate activists have expressed concerns, pointing out that these flights released nearly 1,900 tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

It's worth noting that Musk was not on board for each of the 134 journeys.
