Elon Musk steps in after Tesla's canceled order rocks small bakery
A small bakery in San Jose, California, "The Giving Pies Cafe," unexpectedly received payment from Elon Musk to preserve the company's reputation. This development arose from an unfortunate incident where a Tesla employee placed, and then abruptly canceled, a large order.

The situation gained attention when Voahangy Rasetarinera, the bakery's owner, disclosed the ordeal on social media. Initially, a Tesla representative ordered 2,000 pies from "The Giving Pies Cafe".
The order later doubled, leading the bakery to halt other orders to dedicate their full attention to fulfilling Tesla's request.
Confident in Tesla's credibility, the bakery owner anticipated full payment upon delivery. The shock was palpable when the employee canceled the entire order via a text message.
Unfortunately, it looks like we are changing plans and will not need this order. Thank you very much for your support, I appreciate it - the message read.
Immediate settlement for the prepared pies was overlooked by the Tesla team, seemingly dismissive of the bakery's predicament.
The dispute gained traction after the bakery detailed the incident online. Within days, the establishment welcomed over three hundred patrons. Support and donations poured in from across the United States and even from international supporters in Sweden and the Netherlands.
Elon Musk intervened amid the online backlash against Tesla, guaranteeing a resolution. Shortly after, a Tesla representative settled the payment for the canceled order and even requested catering for an upcoming company event.
Unfortunately, I can't accommodate the catering request because of the overwhelming publicity, our stock of cookies is depleted, and we're gearing up for Pi Day (March 14 - editor's note), so no way - she humorously declined.
Despite the setback, Rasetarinera isn't holding any grudges and remains open to future collaborations with Tesla.
