Elon Musk joins Trump in butler rally after assassination attempt

The campaign team of the Republican presidential candidate shared this information on Friday, stating that Donald Trump intends to revisit the location where an assassination attempt was made on his life three months earlier. They described the upcoming rally as a symbolic event.
Among the special guests expected to accompany the former US president are Elon Musk and Corey Comperatore's family members. This Trump supporter died as a result of the attack.
On the same stage
Musk confirmed his presence at the rally overnight from Thursday to Friday, posting on the X platform. For the Tesla CEO, this will be the first public appearance with Trump.
The billionaire, who has long supported Republicans, openly declared his support for the former president after the attack in Butler. Interestingly, despite his close relationship with Trump, Musk earlier supported his rival, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, during the Republican primaries.
Elon Musk funds Trump's campaign
Recently, Tesla's CEO increased his financial involvement in Trump's campaign, pledging monthly contributions of $45 million. The billionaire's support is surprising given that Trump has been critical of electric cars and regulations supporting their development—an area central to Musk's business interests.
Besides financial support, Musk devotes significant attention to the elections in his numerous posts on the X platform. He recently wrote that a Kamala Harris win would mean the end of democracy. In another comment, he suggested that Democrats are deliberately bringing in immigrants to gain their votes through expedited citizenship processes.
Donald Trump announced that if he wins the elections, he will entrust Musk with leading a special "State Efficiency Commission" to develop a plan for budget cuts.
