Eddie Nketiah's transformation. From marginal player to Arsenal's undeniable hero

In the previous Premier League round, Arsenal displayed a stunning spectacle, defeating Manchester United and securing its lead over Manchester City. The game at Emirates Stadium seemed headed for a draw until the 90th minute, when Eddie Nketiah scored his second goal of the evening, turning him into the undeniable hero for the north London team.

Nketiah's journey is quite captivating. The young striker left Chelsea's academy in 2015 to train under the Arsenal coaches. For many years, his position in Arsenal's first team was rather marginal.

Things changed drastically this season. Arsenal is performing remarkably well, and Nketiah has scored 9 goals in 25 matches. His boosted form partly stems from an impressive physical transformation.

The fruits of his intense, three-year labor are now visible. He exerted efforts to transform from a lean striker into a muscular one. He hired private fitness trainers who worked fervently with him during his free time.

Apart from physical workouts, they also focused on his nutrition, sleep, lifestyle, and recovery. Nketiah now consumes around 3,000-3,500 calories per day.

"When Eddie first came to us, he hardly ate at all. What I appreciate about Eddie is his modesty. He follows instructions diligently," - said the owner of Varnavas gym in north London.
