Preparing it from scratch is quite a culinary challenge, so it's worth having a supply of ready-made pastry in the fridge. When buying it, be sure to check that it contains as much butter as possible. This makes baking cookies, croissants, and this dessert much easier. Just take the pastry out of the fridge beforehand, ideally at least 15 minutes before baking. This prevents it from crumbling.

This delicious dessert requires just three ingredients. Using ready-made puff pastry and dulce de leche greatly simplifies and speeds up its preparation. It couldn’t be easier! The cake will be a hit with anyone who loves sweet desserts. It pairs perfectly with black coffee.

Three-Ingredient Cake

Ingredients:

  • 2 sheets of puff pastry
  • 1 can of dulce de leche
  • 10 ounces of mascarpone cheese
  • Almond flakes (optional, for decoration)

Instructions:

  1. Divide the puff pastry sheets into two equal parts. Brush each part with a beaten egg for a golden finish.
  2. Sprinkle one part with almond flakes for a finishing touch and decoration.
  3. Bake the puff pastry layers for 25 minutes at 355 degrees Fahrenheit.
  4. Meanwhile, prepare the filling by mixing the mascarpone cheese with the dulce de leche.
  5. After removing and cooling the pastry layers, fill them with the prepared mixture.
