Baking is a pleasure, especially when the house is filled with the smell of freshly baked cookies. However, dried food leftovers can make cleaning the baking sheet a nightmare. Is there a way to get rid of these stubborn messes without scrubbing and long soaking?

Universal cleaning products

Cleaning kitchen accessories, including the baking sheet, doesn't have to be exhausting. We can easily eliminate dried-on messes thanks to a simple trick with baking soda and salt. These two products are capable of handling even the most stubborn stains.

Baking soda and salt – A reliable duo

Baking soda is the true queen among home cleaning products. It can prepare various cleaning mixtures for the kitchen, laundry, and baking. Combined with salt, it becomes indispensable for cleaning the baking sheet. First, rinse the sheet with water and dry it. Then sprinkle its bottom with baking soda and salt. This combination allows for easy removal of messes.

How to clean?

After sprinkling the baking sheet with baking soda and salt, place it in the oven at 400°F for 30 minutes. The reaction of both products with residue and grease dissolves the mess. After this time, turn off the oven and let the sheet cool. Then wash it with dish soap—it will be as clean as new. This way, you can enjoy baking without worrying about hard-to-remove messes.

Remember to clean the oven regularly. Burnt leftovers can negatively affect health and alter the taste of prepared dishes. The older the dirt, the harder it will be to remove.
