The former wrestler is set to portray Mark Kerr, a respected figure in UFC. Kerr, an American wrestler and mixed martial artist, is known for his powerful style of combat.

Kerr's journey in professional wrestling and his role in mixed martial arts are far from ordinary. Over time, he had to cope with an addiction to painkillers which unfortunately culminated in an overdose, causing him to lose all his accumulated wealth.

Surprisingly, this isn't the first movie about a UFC legend. A similar production was carried out by HBO in 2002, which was also intriguingly titled "The Smashing Machine".

It's worth reminiscing that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson bid farewell to his career in combat sports back in 2019. Since then, he has ventured into acting and has quickly become one of the most highly-paid actors in the United States.
