A 35-year-old Dutch citizen took her scheming too far. She decided to have breakfast at the hotel buffet without any intention of paying, pretending to be a hotel guest.

The tourist, from the Netherlands, was renting a room in Bali and spending her time doing yoga. Recently, the financial situation of the 35-year-old has significantly worsened, which, she claims, left her without money for food.

In the Netherlands, the woman is registered as unemployed and receives benefits due to health problems. She receives 1,400 euros (1,500 dollars) monthly from her government's aid, but the money ran out early. She decided to secretly eat breakfast at a five-star hotel.

Her attempt to eat a free breakfast did not go unnoticed by the hotel staff. The manager proposed resolving the situation without involving the police, but the tourist was unable to cover the costs. As a result, the police were called to the scene, and the Dutch citizen was taken to an immigration center.

She was deported after more than three weeks. Meanwhile, the Bali authorities placed her on the tourist blacklist, meaning she can't expect another visit to the island.

We are still striving to maintain safety and order and ensure that the deportation process goes according to procedures. We urge all foreigners living in Indonesia to always comply with the applicable laws and regulations to avoid legal problems, said the head of the Bali Denpasar Immigration Detention Center in a conversation with the media.
