On Saturday, Duchess Kate participated in the official Remembrance Day ceremonies. As the Polish Press Agency noted, it was Kate's first time taking part in an official event since completing chemotherapy. Accompanied by her husband, Prince William, she attended a concert for soldiers and veterans at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
The event was organized on Saturday, November 9, in honor of Remembrance Day, which is observed in the United Kingdom on November 11. On this day, the British pay tribute to soldiers who died in wars. Among the guests was King Charles III, who is himself battling cancer. His entrance was met with a resounding ovation.
Duchess Kate is gradually returning to public duties after intensive treatment. In January, she spent two weeks in the hospital after major abdominal surgery. In March of this year, in a moving recording, Duchess Kate revealed that she is battling cancer. The illness and treatment were the reasons for her reduced media activity and the relinquishment of many obligations.
Duchess Kate has completed chemotherapy but announces that it is still not over
At the beginning of September, in a recording published on the official channels of the Prince and Princess of Wales, Kate announced that she had completed chemotherapy. Since then, the 42-year-old Duchess has been gradually resuming her duties and appearing in public more frequently.
In the mentioned video, Duchess Kate emphasized that although she has finished chemotherapy, her "path to healing and full recovery is long." She also added that she "must continue to take each day as it comes."
