Technological advancement plays a crucial role in the dynamics of armed conflict. Generally, the side with superior technology and newer weapons capable of outmanoeuvring the enemy prevails on the battlefield.
"The second army of the world" frequently boasts that their technological innovation is leaps and bounds ahead. This instance is no exception, with the Russians introducing a drone for battlefield mining. The apparent absence of camouflage or basic measures, such as painting the silver components black, indicates that this "innovation" might be an easy target for the Ukrainians.
This assertion is validated by the Ukrainian response to the aggressor's showcase. The first video is a compilation of two brief segments. In the first segment, we get an up-close view of the new invention by "the second army of the world" in what appears to be "laboratory" conditions – likely a makeshift setup in a garage. The Russian combat drone is essentially an engine with two tracks and nine silver tubes affixed on top, presumably for housing mines.
Following the garage footage, the drone is displayed operating in combat conditions. It manoeuvres through grass and along a compacted road, actively dispersing mines.
The second video, produced by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, is quite grainy due to the camera mounted on a kamikaze drone. Regardless, the footage distinctly shows the target of their operation – the newest Russian invention for remotely deploying mines.
The video captures the moment the Ukrainian drone identifies the enemy's "invention" and mercilessly eliminates it. Considering the Russian vehicle's armament with mines, the impact of the Ukrainian UAV's detonation is significantly magnified.
