Drone strikes ignite fires, claim lives across multiple Russian regions

Drones targeted Russia, leading to explosions in the Smolensk, Bryansk, Kursk, Kaluga, Ryazan, Tula, and Belgorod regions. Several areas experienced fires, and there were reported casualties.

The Governor of the Belgorod region, Viacheslav Gladkov, reported that in the village of Poroz, "As a result of the release of two explosive devices, a private residential building caught fire. Tragically, two civilians died." The victims were a woman and a man, while their son managed to escape the burning house.

Mass drone attack targets Russia

In the evening, a drone explosion near an electrical substation in the Kaluga region caused slight damage to the energy infrastructure. Drones hit a substation in Wygonichy in the Bryansk region. Residents, according to Baza, reported hearing 5-6 explosions before the fire outbreak.

Governor Alexander Bogomaz indicated that the power supply was uninterrupted, despite the attack. He also mentioned that five drones were intercepted and shot down.

In the Kursk region, two drones were brought down with no reported damage. Russian air defenses were also activated in the Ryazan and Tula regions in response to the threats.

Fire ignites in the Smolensk region

A drone attack in the Smolensk region caused a fire at a fuel and energy plant. Governor Vasily Anokhin explained that although air defense managed to shoot down several drones and debris, unfortunately, it landed on a fuel and lubricant container, igniting a fire.

Emergency response teams are working tirelessly to extinguish the blaze. They are in the process of assessing casualties. Special services and relevant authorities are conducting investigations into the incident. The governor advised residents to stay calm.
