Drone attack near Netanyahu's residence raises tensions
A drone launched from the territory of Lebanon struck a building in Caesarea, northern Israel. This area is where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's residence is located, according to Israeli media reports.
At the time of the attack, the Prime Minister was not at his home in Caesarea.
The Israeli army stated that no one was injured during the attack and that the air defense system also intercepted two other drones.
Alarm in Tel Aviv
An air raid alert was also declared in Tel Aviv, which is located further south.
The air defense detected a drone heading towards the Glilot district, where key Israeli intelligence service headquarters, including the Mossad, are located.
Escalation in the Middle East
Hezbollah, supported by Iran, has been regularly shelling northern Israel since the conflict in the Gaza Strip broke out a year ago, leading to decisive responses.
For several weeks, Israel has been conducting intense air raids and a ground operation in southern Lebanon, stating that their goal is to eliminate the threat from Hezbollah.
