In light of these events, Novohrad-Volynskyi's City Council has moved all school learning to an online format. The Council's official statement further notes, "For preschool education facilities, groups will be formed to accommodate parents without alternative childcare options."
Dangerous air pollution after Russian attack
With a "direct threat" of exposure to contaminated air, the Council strongly recommends staying inside and closing all windows as a precaution.
Strike targets crucial infrastructure
Vitaliy Bunechko, the head of the Zhytomyr district, detailed the incident on his Telegram account. He mentioned that "last night, kamikaze drones dispatched by the enemy targeted a critical infrastructure facility within the district. (...) Preliminary reports indicate there have been no fatalities or injuries as a consequence of the assault."
However, details regarding the specific critical infrastructure facility attacked remain undisclosed.
Earlier the same day, General Mykola Oleshchuk, commander of the Ukrainian Air Forces, had announced the interception of one Kh-59 guided missile and 17 out of 24 Shahed-131/136 drones launched by Russian forces against Ukraine the previous night.
