Double tragedy: Daughter-in-law collapses and dies during father-in-law's eulogy

A funeral is inherently a sombre occasion, an event where a family gathers to grieve the loss of a loved one. However, an additional tragedy struck the family during their farewell to 81-year-old Roy West.

39-year-old Sarah Healey died at the funeral of her father-in-law Roy West.

Sarah Healey, the daughter-in-law of the late Roy West, was delivering a heartfelt speech when she suddenly fainted. Despite immediate assistance and attempted resuscitation, her life could not be saved.

"It seems she suffered a heart attack. She had no history of heart problems. We are all devastated by her unexpected death," said Gladys Healey, Sarah's mother, in an interview with 'The Leader'.

A certified nurse, Sarah specialized in treating cancer patients. In addition to her nursing profession, she was also in the process of establishing her own business in the field of aesthetic medicine.

In a heartbreaking comment, her sister Trisha Healey says, "Losing my older and sole sister is the most devastating thing I've ever faced. We used to talk every day and shared an incredibly close bond that only sisters can understand."

According to Trisha, Sarah's demise has dealt a severe blow to the entire family, especially her partner James, who has just lost his father. It's hard to comprehend the pain of the children, who have lost their grandfather and now, at his funeral, their beloved mother.
