In the horror movie Don't Scream, the rules are clear and easy to understand - we must maintain absolute silence. However, we're not talking about the way we navigate through the virtual world of the game, but about the behavior of the player sitting in front of the computer. It's up to us, as players, to have the obligation to be silent. However, a certain "small" problem arises.
Some titles can acquire quite humorous, alternative names. An example may be Alien: Isolation, which has been dubbed the "closet hiding simulator". Those who had pleasant times with the xenomorph know why such a not other name. So it's interesting to see what the gaming community will christen the upcoming Don’t Scream? Maybe "Fear Simulator"? And what's interesting, even though the game requires players to be silent, this production could get really loud. Irony in its purest form.

This production is the work of two independent developers - Joure & Joe - and it's a horror created with Unreal Engine 5, stylistically alluding to 90s found footage type of horrors. The whole magic and uniqueness of this production is that in order to immerse yourself in the dark world of the game, you must have a microphone (and preferably high-quality headphones for playing) and... nerves of steel. After properly configuring the equipment, we can start our adventure.
"Don't Scream is a game with a really interesting concept"
Our task is to survive 18 minutes in a disturbing environment. Time only begins to flow when we make a move. In other words, the clock starts ticking when we start to explore the level. The game's creators have prepared many truly terrifying elements that will make the aforementioned exploration raise the pressure. And here we get to the crux of the matter: if we scream - and we probably will - then the game is over. Game Over.
