On Monday, emergency services were called to the residence of Donald Trump Jr. in Florida following the delivery of a letter that contained an unknown white substance. Donald Trump Jr. is the oldest son of the former President and leading Republican figure, Donald Trump, reports ABC News

According to ABC News, an individual with knowledge of the situation stated that while the analysis of the substance yielded unclear results, authorities are of the opinion that it was not lethal. This person, who requested anonymity, provided confirmation of the letter's details, initially disclosed by The Daily Beast.

"The test results of the substance came up inconclusive on what it was exactly, but officials on the scene do not believe it is deadly", said Andrew Surabian, a spokesperson for Trump Jr.

The Jupiter Police Department has indicated that the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office is overseeing the investigation, in collaboration with the U.S. Secret Service. The Sheriff's Office, however, did not provide any additional information. The Secret Service has chosen not to comment on the matter.

According to ABC Newsm, it's the second time white powder has been sent to the former president's oldest son. In 2018, his then-wife, Vanessa, was taken to a New York City hospital after she opened an envelope addressed to her husband that contained an unidentified white powder. Police later said the substance wasn’t dangerous.
