Many of us choose coffee with milk because of its milder taste. And if you can make delicious foam from the milk, the drink tastes exquisite.

Coffee with foam? You don't need an espresso machine

Not every espresso machine can prepare coffee with milk foam. Simple capsule devices often lack this option. However, you can make your favorite drink another way. It's definitely cheaper, and you just need a regular jar. I discovered this method in a video on a social media platform.

How to prepare coffee using a jar

  1. Put instant coffee into a jar. Adjust the amount based on your preference, but about two teaspoons per serving is average. Add sugar if desired.
  2. Pour in some cool, boiled water. Close the jar and shake it vigorously. This will whip up coffee foam quickly.
  3. In the meantime, heat the milk.
  4. Prepare your favorite glasses or cups. Pour in the hot milk and then add the whipped coffee foam. Your delicious drink is ready.

Why it's worth drinking coffee with milk

Research by Danish scientists has shown that coffee with milk might even be more beneficial than black coffee. The proteins in milk combined with coffee's antioxidants double the anti-inflammatory properties in immune cells. To investigate the anti-inflammatory effects of this combination, the scientists used a model of artificial inflammation in immune cell cultures. It's reasonable to assume that this combination will have equally beneficial effects on the human body.

Watch out for these coffee additives

Coffee with milk can be a good choice, but remember to avoid certain additives:

  • sweet syrups and excess sugar,
  • powdered milk,
  • liquid or whipped cream,
  • ready-made mixes with high levels of artificial ingredients.

These not only add calories but also contain significant amounts of fats and sugars that can negatively affect the body. Instead, consider using spices like cinnamon, ginger, or cardamom, which offer proven health benefits.
