Disturbing information from Germany: "Houses marked with Star of David"
For several years, the number of anti-Semitic crimes and acts of violence have registered at alarmingly high levels. However, we are now witnessing a major turning point, said Thomas Haldenwang, the head of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, in an interview with popular weekly magazine, "Spiegel".

According to Haldenwang, since the Hamas attack on Israel, which unfolded on October 7, Germany has recorded about 1800 crimes associated with terrorist attacks against Israel. He expressed fear that the rising wave of anti-Semitism will likely continue unabated.
The Chief of the Office for the Protection of the Constitution underscored the need for vigilance to assess the potential for targeted violence against Jews. "The responsibility of our Office and the police is to meticulously ascertain if Islamists or other extremists are plotting potential crimes, especially in the backdrop of escalating conflict in Israel and the Gaza Strip," he emphasized.
"Our primary concern is that as the conflict in the Gaza Strip persists, distressing imagery will surface. This could likely stoke further radicalization here, within Germany," Haldenwang cautioned.
While many pro-Palestinian demonstrations have remained peaceful so far, there have been protests exalting the brutality of Hamas. In a chilling revelation, Haldenwang reported instances where sweets were distributed out of joy for the terror perpetrated. In certain disturbing instances, Jewish homes have been defaced with markings of the Star of David, he noted.
Haldenwang considers these developments as raising serious alarms about an escalating situation. "The escalating display of hatred towards Jews, particularly in German streets, is intolerable. It ominously harkens back to some of the darkest periods in Germany's history," he warned.
