A two-year-old German Shepherd named Commander, belonging to the family of U.S. President Joe Biden, once again attacked a Secret Service officer. The agent was treated at the White House, he did not sustain serious injuries. This is already the 11th such incident.

The Secret Service spokesperson told CNN that on Monday evening, a uniformed officer "came into contact with the First Family's pet and was bitten".

Commander is Biden's second dog

CNN asked the spokeswoman for First Lady Jill Biden, Elizabeth Alexander, whether the dog has already undergone additional training and whether other actions will be taken.

"The First Family is still working to help Commander cope in the often unpredictable environment of the White House" - was written in response.

Alexander emphasized that the president and his wife are "extremely grateful" to the Secret Service and the White House staff for everything they do to ensure the safety "of them, their family, and the entire nation".

Commander is Biden's second dog that behaves aggressively, including biting Secret Service agents and White House staff. The first, also a German Shepherd, Major, the presidential family had previously sent back to friends in Delaware.
