Having clean windows and window frames allows more light into our homes, making it easy to see the outside world. Polished glass and white PVC window frames give an illusion of a clean house, appealing to our aesthetics. Cleaning windows with traditional cleaners can be strenuous, as they tend to smudge dirt over the surface, draining our energy and patience. Utilizing domestic gadgets and one particular substance can significantly improve this task.

What's the best way to clean windows?

This might be a question posed by anyone with dirty windows and yellow window frames. It's a time-consuming process, requiring a lot of patience. We tend to resort to chemicals intended for cleaning windows and glass, but they often disappoint. Rather than eliminating dirt and deposits, they only leave unsightly streaks. This causes the windows to look worse than before cleaning, leading to frustration and discouragement.

This ineffective cleaning process isn't necessary, and you don't need to spend a fortune to keep your windows clean. All the materials you need to cope with this task are readily available. For cleaning windows, a plastic scraper, tights or stockings, and a homemade cleaning concoction are all you need. This mixture can easily be prepared in a few minutes.

Homemade solution for streak-free windows

Firstly, prepare a homemade cleaning solution for windows. For this, you'll need 1/2 cup of vinegar, roughly 2 cups of water, 1 teaspoon of dish soap, juice squeezed from half a lemon, and a few drops of glycerin. Alternatively, fabric softener or windshield washer solution would equally work. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and pour the mixture into a spray bottle. With this, you're ready to start washing the windows.

Simply spray the solution onto the dirty windows and then start cleaning them with a cloth as usual. A scraper is useful in the second step, specifically the rubber end, which functions like a professional squeegee. Use smooth movements to scrape off the excess homemade solution from the windows. Then, use nylon tights to polish your windows to a mirror-like finish. Employing these methods will leave your windows clean for an extended period!
