However, it's crucial to choose yogurts without added sugar. Some yogurts, especially flavored ones, may contain significant amounts of added sugar, so it's always a good practice to check food labels and ensure you opt for the healthiest alternative.

The perfect marriage: yogurt, cinnamon, and cardamom

The fusion of yogurt with cinnamon and cardamom results in a delish snack that’s quick to prepare. Moreover, both of these spices contain bioactive ingredients that can influence body weight and metabolism.

Cinnamon is known for its ability to alleviate surges in blood sugar levels, which can lead to fat accumulation and weight gain. Studies suggest that individuals who consume 1 to 6 grams of cinnamon daily over an extended period may experience reductions in blood pressure, blood sugar, and lipid levels.

Conversely, cardamom possesses thermogenic properties, which help escalate calorie burning by increasing body temperature. Some studies propose that cardamom can impact sensations of fullness, which may contribute to appetite control and prevent overindulgence in calories.
