Discover French flair in your frozen green beans

I recently went through the freezer and found two more green bean bags. My first thought was to prepare them traditionally. However, I quickly remembered a French recipe, which is much better.

I got this green bean recipe from a friend. She claims she picked it up during a vacation in France. Whether it truly originates from French cuisine, I am not 100 percent sure. However, it doesn’t matter much. The most important thing is that the beans turn out delicious.

Properties of green beans

Green beans are a vegetable that freezes well. It's good to stock up on them because they contain a lot of vitamins and minerals that are especially needed in winter. They are primarily rich in B vitamins, vitamin C, and vitamin K. Important components include magnesium, calcium, iron, and potassium, which support the proper functioning of the body. Green beans are also an excellent source of fiber, which supports the digestive system and helps in weight control.

Tastes like summer

Green beans are healthy, but how do you make them as delicious as they are in the summer? When preparing frozen green beans, it is essential not to thaw them. Simply boil them briefly in salted water. They should remain firm because they will undergo further processing in a pan. They must not fall apart. In the French style, they are prepared with parsley, which adds freshness. Prepared like this, they are perfect for dinner dishes or as an evening salad.
