Diego Costa's outburst in reserve match draws global attention
Despite being 35 years old, Diego Costa continues his soccer career. The Spaniard is currently playing in Brazil and recently reminded everyone of his presence, specifically his negative side. The striker lost his composure after being fouled and exhibited scandalous behavior.
Diego Costa is a Spanish soccer player of Brazilian descent, as he was born in Brazil. In Europe, he played for many clubs, but fans most remember his performances for Atletico Madrid and Chelsea FC.
Last season, the striker represented Botafogo Rio de Janeiro. However, in February 2024, he decided to change clubs and is currently playing for Gremio Porto Alegre. Nevertheless, the 35-year-old cannot be happy due to health issues.
These issues led to Costa returning to play recently in Gremio's reserves. The match against Juventude B ended disastrously for him, as his terrible behavior has once again made headlines worldwide.
Despite competing against young players, the Spaniard could not maintain his temper. In the 53rd minute, one of the opponents fouled Costa, and he lost his cool. After the referee stopped the game, Costa charged towards him to such an extent.
The 35-year-old first grabbed the opposing team's player and then held him by the throat. Players from Juventude B and the referee immediately rushed towards the pair. After the commotion settled and the players were separated, the referee sent Costa off the field.
Such behavior could cause a lot of problems for the Spaniard. It’s hard to believe that he has brought himself closer to playing in Gremio's first team when he can't control his temper in a match against young players.
