Do we want to break records?
As East Conference stars scored 211 points to beat the West, We can either look at the 2 at the beginning with joy and wish for 3, but seeing an actual game left us with the hope for fewer points. The attacks were made without any defence from the other side; players were casually resting during the time on their halves.
As LeBron James said after the game: "I think the good thing that came out of tonight was none of the players were injured, and everybody came out unscathed or how they were before the game started. So it's a deeper conversation."
We can agree it's a deeper conversation, but if We have the most watched pick-up basketball game in the world, We want to show the world what the game is about. For someone not watching the League daily, seeing players just run easily and score from every play makes one believe that the game is... not entertaining and competitive. How can you grab the best players in the world and make them play the worst basketball seen all year?
The politics of the game being played in the short break in the season makes players want just to have fun and play the joyful game. Why would the best player sweat when the league is resting and preparing for the comeback?
