Democrats brace for Trump's premature victory claim blitz
According to Reuters, Democrats are preparing a response to any premature election victory announcement by Donald Trump. The former president made such a declaration in 2020, when he ultimately lost to Joe Biden and never accepted the result.

Reuters reports that Donald Trump stated this week that he hopes to announce his victory on election day. Despite this declaration, experts emphasize that the wait time for an official result announcement could take several days.
Representatives from Kamala Harris's campaign have informed the agency that they are preparing for such a scenario. If Trump—like in 2020—decides to prematurely declare himself the winner of these elections, the campaign plans to inundate social media and other communication channels with calls for calm and patience during the vote-counting process.
Democrats will act "if Trump prematurely declares victory"
"Unfortunately, we are ready in case he does that, and if we notice that he is indeed manipulating the media, we are prepared to respond," Kamala Harris said in a Wednesday interview with ABC.
Although the current U.S. Vice President did not provide details, their plans are already known. "As soon as Trump prematurely declares victory, we are ready to go on television and present the truth, as well as leverage many people who can use their influence to counter the attack," said a senior official from the Democratic National Committee.
Harris's representatives convey that they "fully expect" Trump to baselessly announce victory on Tuesday evening before all votes are counted.
In 2020, Trump declared himself the winner before official results were announced. He ultimately lost to the Democratic candidate, Joe Biden. Trump never accepted this result and continues to claim that there was fraud.
