It echoes the familiarity of butter cookies with jam (the kind we enjoyed as children) and school-year muffins. No wonder this cake conjures nostalgic memories and transports us back in time. You have to experience it yourself. And here's the recipe!
Fluffy Cake with Jam Surprise
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon of your favorite jam (low-sugar variety works too),
- 5 tablespoons of wheat flour,
- 1 medium-sized egg,
- 2 tablespoons of sweetener,
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder.
Instructions:
- Into a bowl, pour the sweetener (sugar is also acceptable), and add jam and an egg. Blend until you achieve a homogenous mixture. This should only take a few moments.
- To this mixture, add the flour and baking powder. Stir with a spatula until the dough is smooth and lump-free.
- Line your mould with baking paper and pour in the prepared batter. Level it out and place it in the oven preheated to 356 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Allow your fluffy cake to bake for about 15 - 20 minutes. Once done, it should be nicely risen and browned. Let it cool in the mould before removing and portioning it. Or you might decide to enjoy it all by yourself? We're not here to judge!
