Finger-licking good gingerbread cookies: a delightful treat that won't stay long on the holiday table!

Ingredients: 

For the gingerbread cookies:

  • 3 ounces of butter,
  • 1/4 cup of honey,
  • 1/2 cup of powdered sugar,
  • 1 egg,
  • 12 ounces of wheat flour,
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda,
  • 1.5 teaspoons of cocoa,
  • 2 tablespoons of gingerbread spice.

For decoration: 

  • icing in any color you prefer.

Preparation:

Step 1. Begin by combining the butter, powdered sugar, and honey on the stove. Stir these ingredients with a kitchen whisk until you get a smooth consistency.

Step 2. Pack a dough board on your kitchen counter and dust it with wheat flour. Afterward, add the cocoa, baking soda, and gingerbread spice

Step 3. Make a large indentation in the center of the mixture and place an egg inside. Start kneading the ingredients with your hands, incorporating the mix from the pot while doing so.

Step 4. Roll out the dough into a thin flat layer and cut out your cookies using holiday-themed cutters.

Step 5. Arrange your unbaked cookies on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake the gingerbread cookies in a preheated oven at 356 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 minutes .
